How many people do I need to host a paint party?
We request a minimum of 5 people for our adult parties and a minimum of 8 for kids parties, but the more the merrier, as long as there is space for everyone!
Is my home suitable for a paint party?
As long as you have space for all of your painters to sit comfortably and for our staff (usually two of us) to move around, it should work! Dining room tables work well. You will need chairs and a space at the table for each painter at your party. Folding tables and card tables are great to accommodate extra guests. If you live in a condo and space is limited, you can always look into renting your building's amenity room for the event. Just make sure that your building allows these types of events. When the weather cooperates, a backyard, porch or even garage offer great alternative options!
Do I need to be an artist to participate?
Absolutely not! We cater to beginners. No artistic experience is necessary! We want every guest at your party to leave with a painting they can feel proud of. We will provide as much instruction as possible to ensure that each painting is a success. Can't draw a stick figure? No need to worry! We have templates and/or can pre draw many of our designs for you and your guests so all you have to do is relax and paint! We will walk you through the entire painting step by step, and offer assistance along the way to those that need it.
Do I need to provide anything?
All you need to provide is tables and chairs for all of your painters to sit comfortably. We provide the rest. We recommend that you have drinks and snacks available for party participants. This is a great opportunity to ask your friends to bring something for guests to share! We will often have "drying breaks" during the course of a painting and this is a great time for everyone to grab some refreshments!
Do you host corporate events?
We do! Please contact us to inquire about our corporate event rates. Paint parties are a great team building or holiday party event and we can bring the party to your workplace or the location of your choice.
What is the cost per person for a party?
Our paintings are priced based on the mediums used (for example, canvas, wood, glass etc.), the size and complexity of the project. In general, the per person price for adult events ranges between $35-$60. Kids parties are $22 per painter.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes we do! Discounts may be available for larger events or corporate parties.
Can you do Fundraisers?
We can! We would love to help your group, school, troop or team with a fundraiser! Contact us for more details.
I want to paint but can't host a party - do you do any public events?
We do! We do public events in local businesses, bars and public parks.
What's the best way to book a party?
Contact us with your requested date and painting of choice and we will confirm our availability!
How do my guests pay?
Since many of our designs are painted on custom cut wood or specially prepared materials, we ask that painters pay at least one full week before the event. Some paintings may require payment two weeks in advance due to extra cutting time required.
A host may choose to pay upfront for their guests and have the guests reimburse them privately.

What kind of materials do you use?
We only use water based, non-toxic acrylic paints at our paint parties. Acrylic paint cleans up with water and has no odour. It does, however, stain clothing so we recommend wearing one of our aprons to protect clothing during the party.
What age range is suitable for your kids' parties?
Our kids' parties are best suited for ages 5-12, although some 4 year olds may be able to participate. We can create more simple pieces for a party intended for 4-5 year olds - contact us to discuss! We would be pleased to discuss custom painting options for your Brownie, Sparks or Girl Guide troops or clubs as well! Children over the age of 13 are usually able to pain the adult paintings. My party has a specific theme. Are you able to work with me to create something custom for my event?
Yes, absolutely! We would be happy to discuss options to create a themed art piece for your event! Please contact us with your thoughts and ideas and we can work with you to come up with something unique!
What happens if we have to cancel a party or if a confirmed guest cannot attend?
Palette Posse asks for pre-payment for all guests no later than 1 week prior to the party date. If a party needs to be cancelled by the Host, we will refund the money to each paid guest.
If individual guests are unable to attend a party but have already pre-paid, they will be unable to obtain a refund; however, they can "sell" their spot to someone else.
